Note: If you use Spout, you will have access to many commands through a button interface. Use the "~" key to access the buttons while in Spout!
1. Spoutcraft (optional)
Spoutcraft is supported on the server. The spoutcraft plugin will allow interface changes so that you can see your levels as you progress (MCMMO Levels). I highly recommend this as it will give you an idea of where you are at when leveling your skills.
Here is a screenshot of the game with Spoutcraft and MCMMO
This plugin provides most of the extra fun for the server. It allows players to level skills and players are rewarded for leveling skills.
Visit the following link to learn about this mod and the commands it has: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/mcmmo/
These are the skills and the benefits they give:
Skills System
Taming
Tired of your wolves being pathetic? Well now its time for you to stop being such a pathetic beast handler and increase your skill in Taming. Taming increases by engaging in combat with your Tamed wolves. Levels of Taming will offer benefits to your wolves such as damage reduction versus explosions, fire, fall damage, and all incoming damage. Offensive skills that increase the damage of the wolves and offer critical strike chance and a DoT applied to foes unlucky enough to be "Gored" by your wolves.
Mining
Mining increases depending on the materials you mine. Mining ores will give much more XP than just mining stone. How much XP depends entirely on the rarity of the ore. Diamond and Lapis give the highest XP. High skill levels give blocks the chance to drop double the normal items, get this high enough and it will be guaranteed.
WoodCutting
Its finally time to show the tree huggers who's boss, cutting down trees is the only way to level this currently. Higher skill levels will allow a double drops to happen, and if your skill is high enough it will be guaranteed.
Repair
Thousands of days of being obsessed with dwarven craftsmanship will finally pay of, gained by reforging old and battered equipment, this skill helps the player use less resources when repairing with an anvil. Anvils are constructed via 9 Iron Ingots in a crafting table (Iron Block). You use it by right clicking with the tool in hand and blocks of the tools type in your inventory.
Unarmed
Punching the hell out of monsters will gain you experience, but you shalt not be rewarded from abusing farm animals. Really, wheres the fun in taking out your aggression on Pigs? With this skill players can actually make unarmed useful for combat, great for combat even. Get this high enough and you can disarm what other players are holding and drop it to the ground.
Archery
Shooting arrows was cool in vanilla minecraft... for about 5 minutes, this skill is looking to change that as archery will let your damage increase at higher levels, and you can eventually daze players providing a very beneficial pvp benefit. Higher levels of archery will let you retrieve arrows from corpses.
Herbalism
This one is for the harvest moon fans, picking herbs up (flowers, mushrooms) and harvesting crops will help raise this skill. Its benefits include double drops from farming and increasing the effectiveness of bread and stew.
Swords
This will give you even more reason to stab monsters between the eyes. Gaining skill in swords will help your swordsmanship of course, allowing you to perform a parry. Parries happen automatically and negate all damage. Higher skill levels will lead to parrying more often. High levels of Swords will let your gouge your enemies and bleed them to death.
Axes
Embrace your inner viking with the axes skill. No longer are axes just for obsessively chopping down forests. With the axes skill, players will be able to do critical hits, instantly killing monsters and causing severe damage to players. As your skill increases, your chance to critically strike will too. At a certain skill level Axes damage will even be upgraded. What axe you use matters for the damage scaling, use a Diamond Axe for maximum damage.
Acrobatics
Finally the days of spraining your ankle have paid off, no longer will you look down a 100 meter drop with fear. With the acrobatics skill your ability to negate fall damage increases. And how do you negate fall damage? By rolling of course, a secret passed down through the ages. Tap into this mysterious 'rolling' ability by falling and training your body. If you're good enough you will never have to worry about fall damage again.
3. Lockette v1.4.9 beta
The purpose of this plugin is to restrict access to the contents of chests, dispensers, furnaces, and doors without the use of a database to track containers.
To use, simply place a signpost on the floor directly beside a chest or other container to be locked. Enter [Private] as the first line. Your own name will automatically be entered on line 2 as the chest owner. Optionally type in the full names of two other users allowed to access the chest's inventory on lines 3 and 4.
When done correctly, the sign will automatically fix itself to the side the target chest, protecting it from unauthorized access! Only the chest's owner can then break the sign or chest.
Additionally, you can enter [Everyone] on lines 3 or 4 instead of a user name to allow everyone access to the contents of a private container, or [Operators] to allow ops access. If a Permissions plugin is available, you can use groups like [Moderator] or [Admins] or others as defined in the Permissions settings files.
The owner of a container can add more users by placing additional signs beside the container with the heading [More Users], where lines 2-4 specify the names of the additional users. You can edit the users on previously placed signs by right clicking the sign, and using the command '/lockette ' to change it.
Working with Doors:
To protect a door, you can use the same method as protecting a container, the sign will attach to the door automatically. In addition, you can attach a [Private] wall sign to any side of the blocks just above or just below a door. For double doors only one side needs a sign. Door support is enabled by default in the config file.
Once a door is protected it will only open for someone listed as a user, and will not respond to redstone power or switches unless [Everyone] is listed as a user. Iron doors which usually won't open from clicking will work just as wooden doors. In addition, double doors will open together automatically!
You can also use [More Users] signs as with containers, with the caveat that the sign cannot be placed on the block above the door if the [Private] sign is not above the door as well! (This is done to prevent a security uncertainty issue.)
Protected doors will be closed automatically if a timer is set. A timer can be set globally with a configuration option, or individually for each door by using the tag [Timer: #] on line 3 or 4 of the [Private] sign, where # is the number of seconds that the door should remain open. If the timer is set to 0, this means the door will never automatically close. If no timer is specified, protected doors will use a global timer set in the configuration file. If the server is shut down cleanly any open doors will be closed, but in the event of a server crash while a door is open, it may remain so. Note that the initial state of a door is assumed to be closed.
Care must me taken to place protected doors on a stable block. Building a door on sand, gravel, leaves, TNT and et cetera are allowed by the plugin, but cannot be secured fully. :3 Additionally, it should be noted that most status messages still refer to locked blocks as containers, so for the purpose of simplicity, doors should be considered as a type of container.
4. Server Backup
This plugin is used for server backup. The server is backed up throughout the day in 45 minute increments. There will always be a backup of the server. If there is any problem or griefing, let me know and I can revert the world if needed.
This plugin is not controlled by players, except by admins.
5. BOSEconomy
BOSEconomy provides the currency system that is used on the server. Money is of type "coin" on the server. You receive coins for killing monsters and selling items to shops. You spend coins on things such as setting your home, teleporting home, purchasing items from stores. We are only using BOSEconomy as a basic money system at the moment. It can do much more than it is being used for.
Use the following commands in the server to access BOSEconomy:
/econ -- this will show your current money. Default start money is 200 coins.
6. ChestShop
ChestShop is used to provide admin shops to players and allow players to setup their own shops. Registered users can create shops after following the instructions below.
How to create a ChestShop?
- Place a chest, if you haven't already.
- Place a sign 1 block near the chest (for example, above the chest)
- On the sign, write:
(Item name can actually be item ID or alias)
First line will be filled in by the plugin automatically.
Price is a combination of buy and sell price.
You have to have B near buy price (people buy from you), and S near sell price (people sell to you).
If you have both B and S, separate them with a colon - :
For example:
means that AcrobotPL wants to sell 64 diamonds for 10 currency, and buy them back from you for 5 currency.
Also, if you put "free" instead of price, it is free to buy or sell
7. Catacombs
Catacombs is a mod that allows the server administrator to create random dungeons in the game. Players are able to party and fight mobs through the dungeons to loot chests and get rewards. The following command is available to players:
Catacombs Commands:
/cat recall
Word of Recall. This command teleports you to the top of the dungeon if you are close (within 4 blocks) of the end of dungeon chest on the final (bottom) level. This command is intended for players.
8. MyHome
MyHome allows for players to set their home and then teleport to their home. There is a 5 second warm up (time to teleport) and a 10 minute cooldown on teleport use. Setting your home will cost 200 coins and teleporting home will cost 200 coins.
MyHome Commands:
/home - (myhome.home.basic.home) - Takes you to your home
/home set - (myhome.home.basic.set) - Sets your home to your current position
/home delete - (myhome.home.basic.delete) - Deletes your home
/home point - Point your compass towards your home.

/home list - (myhome.home.soc.list) - Displays whose homes you can visit
/home ilist - (myhome.home.soc.list) - Displays who can visit your home
/home invite - (myhome.home.soc.invite) - Invites to your house

/home public - (myhome.home.soc.public) - Makes your house public
/home private - (myhome.home.soc.private) - Makes your house private
8. Towny
Towny allows for players to organize into groups/towns and pool resources. Players can buy plots of land (16x16) that the town mayor buys with town money. Players are able to control the plots that they purchase by setting permissions (ie friends allowed to build, mobs can or cant spawn, etc.) You cannot buy a plot unless the mayor puts the plot up for sale. Once the mayor has annexed property and put it for sale, the residents can purchase it.
The command to purchase a plot that is for sale is:
/plot claim
Please remember that residents are taxed and you should have extra money to afford to pay taxes daily. If you cant pay the taxes you will lose plots and not get any money back. You can view town properties and their status by pressing ~ and clicking the town map button. This button will generate a map in the chat window. This is not a live map, it simply shows where you are when you click the town map button.
Towny is very robust and will require some research on your own. Some commands are on the spoutcraft interface buttons, press ~
Friend Commands
If the mayor of your town has taken the time to set up plots in your town, and you have claimed, or purchased (depending on how your mayor has it set up) one for yourself, you can add people who are not a part of your town as a friend, and they will be able to make modifications on your plot, i.e. help you build, etc. To add a friend, use the following command:
Code:
/resident friend add
Similarily, to remove a friend type the following:
Code:
/resident friend remove
